What personal data we collect and how we use it:

In personal information (PII), we collect your name, email, phone number, and address that is used only for research purposes and only shared with your consent. Other information that is non-PII includes your date of birth, gender, ethnicity, marital status, employment status, and health information. All the information we collect will be linked to your Riva Research member account. We collect, utilize, and disclose personal information solely within the necessary scope to fulfill our research activities, employment processes, and personnel management. We do not use personal information for any purposes beyond those explicitly stated. Our adherence to privacy policies is in strict accordance with applicable laws, government guidelines, and industry standards. Once submitted, the aforementioned information is securely stored on our platform, either as part of your member user profile or in association with it. Data Security:

To safeguard your personal data, we have implemented comprehensive security measures designed to prevent accidental loss, unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Moreover, we restrict access to your personal data to employees, agents, contractors, and other third parties who have a legitimate business need to access such information. These individuals will process your personal data solely based on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations. Riva Research ensures the secure storage of personal information and survey data through two physically separate server environments hosted by providers that comply with EU-US Privacy Shield and GDPR regulations. We prioritize the security of user data during the collection process as well. To achieve this, any data collected by Riva Research is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) security technology. For client deliverables, Riva Research employs a ‘pseudonymous’ data management framework. This means that the survey data we gather is aggregated and anonymized with data from other members. Riva Research analyzes this aggregate data to generate analytical insights for our clients. Consequently, any data shared with clients or data processors will never include personally identifiable information (PII) associated with individual members. We strive to adhere to industry standards in protecting your personal information, going above and beyond whenever possible. However, it’s important to note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage can guarantee absolute security. Therefore, we cannot provide a 100% guarantee of its security. In the event of a breach or loss of personal data, we will directly contact our members and/or clients, providing them with all relevant information pertaining to the incident. We ensure that our members provide their consent voluntarily and with full awareness:

New panel joiners are required to agree to our Terms of Participation and Privacy Policy, and they retain the right to revoke this consent at any time. However, it’s important to note that revoking consent will impact their ability to participate as a Panel member, utilize the Riva Research panel, and receive payment for accrued rewards. At Riva Research, we prioritize members’ control over communication volume. You have the authority to determine the extent of communication you receive from us. If you choose to become a Panel member and participate in surveys, we may ask classification and demographic questions (e.g., gender, age, profession, postal/ZIP code) to assess your eligibility.

Cookie & Tracking Policy:

We and third-party content providers, advertisers, or service providers on our platform utilize various technologies such as cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and others (collectively referred to as “Technologies”) to automatically gather information while you use our services. Cookies, small text files stored in your device’s browser, help store preferences and improve your overall experience. Pixel Tags/Web Beacons, code snippets embedded in our services, collect engagement data.
